Ooh! You lot have made me hungry! Bacon and egg with a soft yoke so it is all messy, is and always will be my favorite. Second best is mashed Avocardo Pears with salt, pepper and lemon juice, with a mountain of toast and a pot of tea. Also, a toasted bacon and banana. "Yummy" Lindy;-))

Just had an M&S Tuna Melt which was yummy. Yesterday I had a Tesco's Caesar Chicken Tortilla Wrap, which was almost as good! Steedie, have you ever been to Brewsters? They do a lovely fish finger sandwich with mayo in a baguette mmmmmm. Not sure about mash and peas between bread though :( Mandy :)

My favourite lately has got to be one that I discovered on a diet a few months ago. It sounds somewhat odd, but somehow really works : It has to be wholemeal bread, and then you have low-fat mayonnaise, raw spinach, turkey roll, a thinly sliced wally (I'll wait and see how many people know what that is !) and the special ingredient - mint jelly. As I say, it sounds weird but, as my mother used to say, 'it goes together, if you put it together'.

At the moment I'm really into English mustard, so maybe roast beef with lashings of mustard, enough to make your eyes water! Christine

Well apart from the obvious bacon sarnie, the favourite at the moment is chicken, bacon and avocado (Tesco's Finest... yum)

Depends where I'm eating it. If at home it would be cheese and tomato but would leave out the tomato if it was in a packed lunch as I don't like squidgy sandwiches.

The type of sandwich people choose to eat can reveal their "inner" self, according to a new survey. The findings suggest the popular BLT indicates a hard-working, self-motivated individual who holds traditional family values. A tuna and cucumber sandwich suggests a caring and giving individual. The BLT was the top choice for those men surveyed while the tuna and cucumber was the top choice for women. Few people enjoyed tucking into an egg mayonnaise sandwich - although it was the favourite of the older generation. Psychologist Donna Dawson said it tended to be chosen by someone who is traditional and conservative and would never take unnecessary risks. The chicken and bacon sandwich was more popular and the most favoured among youngsters. "It tends to be chosen by people with healthy life appetites, who expend a lot of energy during their daily routine," Ms Dawson said. The classic 70s favourite - the prawn cocktail sandwich - was one of the least favoured sandwiches with only 8%. A product manager at office products firm Avery Dennison said: "They say you are what you eat and this research clearly indicates key personality types."
