Finally managed to locate our family bible....brilliant all those lost rellies just sitting there waiting for me!!! Collected the bible from my Uncles and discovered that although the bible is almost 200yrs old, there is not one bloomin name in there!! I couldnt believe it!!! I thought years ago it was customary to list BMD's in the bible.....its not like it isnt big enough!! The one good thing is that it is a beautiful "book". Really old but in quite good condition.

Bev, it is possible that there were two bibles, one they wrote in and one they didn't, my maternal Grandparents had two. I have the one with all the info in. Ann glos

Our family bible is also blank, but then my g g grandfather led a rather , ahem, complex life shall we say, with three different families with three different women, so I can see why he did not fill it in- probably did not have time for one thing.....
