Hi Lisa, I think I can explain this as I had the same query soon after I joined. When you contact anyone on Genes - and that doesn't necessarily mean a relative contact, it can be someone on the boards - 'contacted' goes beside every name in their tree. Eventually, Estelle managed to get to the bottom of the problem for me - I'd contacted someone direct regarding a thread they'd posted, and 'contacted' appeared beside all 1000+ names in their tree! I've just had a look at the new search results page, and found something about it really strange. I entered a couple of names and in the results were a lot of ticks next to people - which apparently means I'm already in contact with them - except I know I haven't contacted these people! Anyone else had anything like this? Lisa
