Ramblin Rose

Ramblin Rose Report 10 Dec 2004 11:01

Memories of Childhood Just on the edge of hearing, Soft in the salt laden breeze, The whisper of waves is receding, A shiver of wind in the trees Just on the edge of seeing, Over the rim of the hill, Sky-skimming kites go soaring, To rival the seabirds' skill Just on the edge of scenting The seaweed, the sand and the sun, Smell of camomile lingering, Crushed by bare feet as we run Just on the edge of knowing, Holiday pleasure and pain... Memories of childhood are waiting Beyond the bend in the lane. by Patricia Kelly

I think we all have these flickering memories of our childhood and as we get older the 'bend' seems to straighten! A lovely verse! Magsxx P.S. only just sat down for a coffee - been shopping - it's freezing out there! Perhaps everyone else is busy too?

Its not too bad on the Island Mags. Youwould have laughed if you had been in our street about 7am,there was me creeping across the road in my dressing gown to put my wine bottle in Pat's recycling bin opposite. I don't think anyone saw me-LOL Rose

Hi Rosemary. When you type a poem or a song, it always comes out in "wordwrap" if you type it in the heading box. You have to add a reply to your heading, and type it in there for it to show in verses. Hope this helps. Tony Oz

I remember those days.............seems a long time ago now. If you double clink between verses, it will work better, but not perfect. Thank you for the verse! Would you like a wish? reply to the thread.
