If a word in the dictionary were misspelled, how would we know?

If I thought it was misspelt, then I would check another dictionary. I have lots of English dictionaries. The Thesaurus is good. Sylvia xxx

Daniel, I happen to know for a fact that there are a few made up words in the dictionary (well, the full 20 (?) volume Oxford English Dictionary that is)...
