That's what I thought but no. Very easy. They like lots of attention, a nice big run or a pupose built shed to live in and things to play with and climb on. They dont bite if they are well looked after - oh they do tend to sleep quite a bit.

Lynda, Are they difficult to keep? I've had pet rats in the past and they are great fun but I dont know much about ferrets. I would imagine they need a lot of input? Kerry

My children knew that it was the pet of a young lad living down the road so it was used to people, he found it later. Heather

That's sounds unusuall Heather ..... if it was a ferret it must have gotten seperated from it's owner, they don't survive well on their own in the wild. Wild versions are Polecats or Mink. If it was a mink it would more likely attacked ya feet than round you up! Sioux

Christine.... Don't mention Ferrets! I was walking past the wood to collect my son from school one afternoon when a flipping ferret came out of the undergrowth and kept running around my feet, luckily it got bored and ran away. Heather
