Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 11 Dec 2004 14:17

Grandson aged 4 rang and invited himself and his sister (6mths) to breakfast. Daughter was going to college and was having them anyway, but you have to play along. Took his breakfast order and raced to the baker's for his special bread (french stick), ginger bread man (now either santa or a snowman) got both. Sitting watching Cbeebies with granddad who is now on his third cuppa of the day. Little man zooms off to the downstairs bathroom and on his return no grandad. Gone to upstairs bathroom I tell him. Races off. Returns a couple of minutes later. Stands there hands on hips very serious. "Nanny, granddad didn't want that last cup of tea. No dear? No nanny he's just got rid of it down the toilet!! Hubby hadn't shut the bathroom door! When I told him what grandson had said he started laughing. The one thing my husband has is an infectious laugh and all three of us started and couldn't stop. Even the baby started chuckling. In the end I had to go to the bathroom!
