What do other people do with toys their children no longer play with? My little boy hates parting with his but a lot of them are now only suitable for toddlers. His clothes etc are either taken to the school to use in the nursery or put in charity bags and shops but most of the shops seem to be full of toys - at least our local ones are. I'm too lazy for car boot sales and I wouldn't know what to charge anyway! Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks Lorrainex

Do you have a local refuge for women and children or something similar? My friend took hers to there and they were so grateful. She also took her children with her so that they could see that not every child is as fortunate as their own family. She said it was a truly humbling experience for them. Or try the local childrens hosptial/hospice. On the few occasions my children have gone into hospital the toys are pretty old.

Usually take them to the local hospital, they are always needed there

Thanks for your ideas folks. I read a while ago some hospitals, libraries etc only take new things because of germs! The refuge sounds like an excellent idea and I know of one just a few miles from me. Lorrainex

Childrens hospitals might be glad of them.

There's a childrens hospice in the nearest town to us so that's another possibility, thanks. Lorrainex
