Lindy, Hadn,t thought of my house being crooked! Good point. Maybe a piece of wood under the stand will help. My Mum is doing great thanks. Off to Jersey for Christmas.....lucky girl. Merry Christmas to you and yours. xx Glitter. Another good point. Since bringing the tree in out of the cold it,s already opening up and looking a little less "crooked". Lol

Hiya Carol, Could it be that your floor is not straight! I have that problem as my house is built on different levels! How is your Mum? I have not forgotten our brief encounter. Pity that I did not get enough time to chat to her... ((Hugs)) Lindy;-))

My daughter and I have just returned from a lovely morning in the country where we went to get our Christmas tree. There were millons to choose from, each one nicer than the last. We finally selected a gorgeous Douglas fir, nice and bushy and as straight as an arrow. The nice farmer carried it to our car and after stopping for breakfast, we arrived home and duly set it in the tree stand. Guess what? Our lovely straight tree is suddenly the most lop-sided thing you have ever seen! No matter what we do, it still looks like the leaning tower of Pisa. Perhaps with lots of decorations it won,t look quite so bad. Lol
