My beloved has a book for me about the East Suffolk railway - the history of it, and people's memories. It places people in my ancestral family for me. Having seen names on certificates, censuses (censi?), and coroner's inquests, I can read about the area and see the pictures, and use my imagination to see them!! :-) Joy (Kentish Maid GC)

Yes, I'm getting Family Tree Maker version 2005 so that I can do my own website. And I know I'm definitely getting it from my parents because I ordered it myself lol! Ben, I've got the Who do you think you are? book, and it's great. Lots of info as well as the celebs' stories. Would also recommend 'The Genealogist's Internet' and Collins' Tracing Your Family History by Anthony Adolph, the one who does the question time on here. Mandy :)

how much do full sets of these discs cost normally? I have no idea and just wondered if it was worth creeping round my hubby?

I am getting a few books, one of them the book accompanying the Tv series "Who do you think you are", and most importantly am getting the 1851 London census CD set for my own research and will offer to do lookups for anyone with a address. Any of you hoping to get anything genealogy wise?
