Hi girls - just back on - was moaning on here early hours Monday morning - GP was here a few hours later - turned out to be a chest infection virus based playing havoc with breathing - so am on antibiotics and steroids/inhalers but improving. Serves me right for crowing last week I was so organised for Christmas! Pride does come before a fall! Hope everyone else is feeling better. Ann |

Morning Ann - sorry you are poorly - join the club tho!! I had a cold early Nov which returned about 10 days ago - am still plauged by a really bad chesty cough which is driving me nuts - nothing seems to ease it and just when I think it is going, it rears it's ugly head again :(( Take plenty of fluids, keep warm and rest. Lots of porridge too :)) |

Brian - as you can see - husband has disappeared! Howwever I would not stop sneezing long enough to have a cuddle! I always say my two children are only here because I was told a good cuddle was the cure of a cold! |

will be wandering back there soon - husband has taken himself off to an 'germ free' bedroom. Has filled my hot bottle - so much more comforting than electric blankets. |

Woke up this morning not great but have worsened as day has gone on - eyes sore and swollen, shivering. one side of nose blocked up - other streaming. Steamers/paracet/hot whiskey/vick/fishermans friend and feeling very sorry for myself. How long does it take for a cold to appear once exposed to germ? Took son to GP Thursday and sat in surgery, Friday took him to hosp and sat in waiting room. Saturday - popped in to see a friend and she had a filthy cold. Where did I catch it - I am blaming her! |
