Telewest uses Netgear for customers who want a wireless connection. But Netgear are quiet expensive. Pc World sells their equipment, but you can order it online from Netgear direct . But you cannot return it. Linsky's Router is rather bulky and a bright blue. Belkin is another make. But i could not get theirs to work. Both a little bit cheaper than Netgear. B & Q Have a big notice board up above their PC Products telling you exactly what you need. The make is Trendnet. The cheapest by far. I must admit I was a tiny bit wary of it as it says "Made in China" But so are a lot of good products nowadays. I found it really easy to connect the router, card for laptop and card for desktop. If your on cable it's a doddle. I have Telewest, two desktops wired with laptop wireless. If your main PC already connects by ethernet (like a big telephone connector) and not USB you won't need a PCI card. You can do it a little cheaper if you shop around but if B&Q have good support as Jenny says they might be the best bet. Bob

Morning Helen. Only yesturday have I managed to get both our desk top and laptop both on the Internet. After numerous visits to PC World being advised to get this and that and then finding out we have the wrong things. We have taken back to them six different items totalling over £200 over couple of weeks. We have Telewest Blueyonder Broadband, Wireless equipment. So wanted Wireless connections. Believe it or not B & Q have been the answer to our prayers. The do two ranges. One for Wireless and one for Cable /Telephone point connections. You need a Router, a PCMCIA Card, and a PCI Card. This all cost us about £135. It was all very straight forward. We have not set up a Network yet. Not sure if we are going to bother as we do not want to share Printer, Files Etc. All we wanted was for me and my daughter to be able to use the Internet at the same time. Email me if you want any more advise. Jenny
