hi Andy, I agree, I bought lots on-line this year because it was a lot cheaper and many places offer free delivery too. I also used Ebay quite a bit. I was looking for a particular board game for hubby. Was £30 everywhere I looked. Got it on Ebay, brand new still in shrink wrap for £17 including postage costs. It's definitely worth shopping around! Naomi x

Andy Report 14 Dec 2004 14:31

Is it just me or does anyone else think that every year shops are still charging what they like for goods in the mistaken belief that they still have a stranglehold on the market? It seems that they haven't wised up to the fact that consumers can shop online for the cheapest prices and invariably can find them cheaper. Shops are then forced into a climbdown and are having to sell goods at post Christmas sale prices. Any thoughts? Andy (who will still probably be hunting round the shops for last minute presents despite previous good intentions!)
