Yes I rather think my Mum got plastered! As we grew older Martin and I would disappear into the cupboard under the stairs when she came and giggle at the rows, there was never one as good as that though-They did go in for a lot of swinging off each others hair if I remember rightly. I described my life to a friend in Social work many years later and she told me I had had a dysfunctional household.I though it rather fun.It never worried me. Rose

By earliest memory was when I was 14 months old... My parents don't believe me but I remember my grandmother carrying me to answer the door and there were my parents carrying my new born sister. Maybe it's just in my head lol

The day my brother was born.I was three and in the afternoon I was taken up to the front bedroom to meet him.He was in a tiny cot beside the big bed.I leant over said'GOOD AFTERNOON' He couldn't be bothered to reply, so I didn't speak to him again for three years so I'm told. Lovel picture of the plate flying across the room.I did laugh. As those who know me well know I was brought up in the houshold of my Aunt and Uncle during the war. My mother visited rarely and when she did there were mega rows between her and her sister,my surrogate Mum. On one occassion my brother had been on the potty and had done well!1 Beryl,my aunt had picked up the potty to take it out and flush it when this monumental row broke out.I remember the potty flying across the room in a graceful arc and spewing its contents out like a catherine wheel. We were never allowed to tell anyone about it.But my brother an I even into our fifties would say do you remember... everytime we met. And laugh and laugh--Rose

I can remember clearly blackberrying in the woods when we lived in Purbrook during the war, with my Mum and grandmother and playing "co-ee" games in the trees with them, two and a half then. And i can sort of remember being in my cot and calling out because i felt (and was) sick) in Fareham. I would have been about 2 because just after that we evacuated ourselves to Purbrook. I can remember being in bed with flu aged 4 and watching tanks go down the road past our bungalow in Purbrook. Ann Glos

I remember the insurance man coming and commenting, asking my mum if we were decorating!! But I had to tell him what had happened much to my mums embarressment!! I was about 5 at the time

Mine was of my dog Ruffles. I remember standing at the back door of my old house and watching her run around with my uncles dogs, mum reckons i was about 3 1/2! I also remeber sitting in bed every night and singing two little boys with my dad, so i was very young as that was when he was still at home. Whats everyone elses?
