It was our carol service at our church last night. We always finish the evening with mulled wine and mince pies. I took my 16 year old daughter with me to pick up 12 bottles of mulled wine, plus a bottle of wine for the vicar and one for the organist. The poor check out girl kept looking at the both of us with pure amazement. Finally, as I was paying my daughter explained to the girl not to worry, that it was all for our carol service at the Methodist church!!! Needless to say it went straight over the girls head. My daughter and I left doubled over with the giggles. Later on I recounted the story to the vic, he thouroughly enjoyed!!! |
