If I am what I've eaten today then I'm a bowl of porridge with a spoonful of jam, a banana, an apple, a bowl of pasta & chicken and a blueberry muffin. I just cant understand how I'm 13st!! Naomi x

Hi Oh I''m a nightmare. Haven't got a big appetite. More of a nibbler me. A few mouthfuls and thats my lot. I can turn out some cracking meals, but can't eat them myself, too much licking the spoon no doubt. Aileen

I've just got home after eating a 3 course lunch. Well it's Christmas. I don't usually eat so much in the middle of the day. Trouble is tonight is my Family History society quiz and buffet so more yummy food and not a piece of fruit in site I bet. But loads of naughty cake, trifle etc. I too was once under 7 stone now over 10. I blame the fags - I stopped smoking nearly 3 years ago! But I'm sure I'm healthier if a bit bigger.

I do try to eat healthily, fruit or wholemeal toast for breakfast, ryvita and cup a soup and yoghurt for lunch, meat, stir fry veg or rice or baked potatoes for dinner. Don't eat a lot of chocolate 9although i do like it). Try and eat low fat, low salt diet as I have high BP and don't really want a heart attack. Tony also had high cholesterol so need a low fat diet. We have also cut our alcohol intake which was getting a bit out of hand. But that is not to say we are always good, we like a drink and we have a fry up ocasionally and oven chips sometimes, and even fish and chips, but in moderation. when i was your age Lisa my diet was like yours. Chips! where Ohhhhhhh! discovered a brilliant chippy under the railway bridge as you are walking towards the hospital in Dorchester.Oh it is grear.I had some mega hot ones from there and a lovely jar of whelks. Oh Yes that made me laugh I could not undo the lid so I took the jar to the counter and asked the chip guy if he would do it for me,On the underside of the lid wasthis 'Lid opener available from....just send 2.50 to...' I do try to be sensible and went out and bought that Dr.Gillian Things book in a big way.Bought all the pulses and seeds to sprout at some expence then tried for about a fotnight to really do it properly.I got fed up with puttering my way around the shops like a dispeptic outboard motor. It was so embarrassing.Leaving clouds behind me!LOL Actually the detox made me feel bad and I gave up.I now try to eat more fruit anf drink more water(in the form of ice cubes in my gin) I'm no fool Ramblin again Rose
