My lovely neighbour George next door,a semi retired mason has just called to give me a 12x12 memorial tablet to go on my Dad's grave on Saturday when we add Mum ashes. It is beautifully carved with her name and her dates. We are going back to Shropshire where the two will be reunited. We had to get a lisence for the grave' to be opened' That sounds so awful doesn't it.We are having just a little cube cut in the top of the grave to accommodate the ashes. They make it sound like an exhumation order. Grave digger £45 ,priest £50, overnight stay £42 at travelodge, flowers done for me by The Flower Fairy, our local florists-don't ask, he is male! £15 Wow! to say nothing of the petrol.I don't begrudge it one bit.Don't get me wrong. She would have been just as happy up in the bluebell wood over the top of Punknowle,it was I who decided to take her back to my Dad because that is where I thought she would like to be
