The man may have had Tourette's syndrome, in which case he couldn't help himself and would have been quite harmless. Len

Oh that must have been so scary for you. Something like it happened to me when I was a child and it does stay with you. I'm so glad everything was allright in the end. Take care Christine

Oh! How absolutely terrifying. I do hope you and your daughter are not too traumatized. An incident like the one that you experienced can stay in your thoughts for a long time and the 'what if's' make it even worse. I do hope you and your daughter feel better soon. Jean x.

had the fright of my life today.walking down southsea seafront with my daughter when i heard someone hurling abuse further up the road.didn't think nothing of it until i saw a man on the other side of the road walking at pace and looking very angry and aggitated.saw him crossing the road so told my daughter to cross the road with me.realised that he was coming towards me.so stopped.then he proceeded to come right up to my face and said to me so my daughter said.where is the f*****g beach hotel.i replyed i don't know darling.my heart was beating ten to a dozen as this man had his hands in his pockets all the time he was talking to me.then i turned my back and he started shouting obsenities.at this point i was thinking more of protecting my daughter.if this man did turn.it would be me who took the brunt.phoned the police and told them what happened and they said they would get a patrol car down to check the area.today i really did think this could be the end for me.the man i believe was a schizophrenic.until your faced with a situation like this your insticts change.my daughter told me what he had said as i really could not remember.my defences were up and on guard to protect the one i truly would protect and who i love .my daughterxxxxxxx):
