It was very cold, my hands felt like they could have dropped off. The wind seems to have died down a bit now though.

But you didn't see it where you were then? when i read your title i was thinking aeroplanes!!! You can see where i worked for 20 years! Ann Glos

Hope the weather gets better for you down there. I lived in Selsey a few years back when they had the last tornado, it was terrifying. Hope it doesn't happen again. Take care. Jan

Glitter it was so scary, we were indoors at the time and thought the place would implode. Couldn't believe our luck when we went outside, the bungalows either side of ours both got damaged and we didn't. Went up to the village and offered rooms for the night to those who were homeless. The Fire Brigade were amazing, they worked so hard. I worked in Portsmouth in those days but had to move with the job. I used to love Arundel, there's a great little Apothecary there. Do you know it. I love all those little shops in Arundel. The area is so beautiful in the Summertime

Yes they're lovely aren't they. I like all the oldie worldie little villages better than the huge malls everywhere. But then again I'm a bit oldie worldie myself. Lol. Jan

I'm in Southampton noticed very strange wind patterns but nothing else. Hope everyone in Pompey and Fareham are okay :)

Baz yes I know exactly where you mean. Used to take the grandchildren picnicking there too. I know what Glitter means about the Castle though, I never found it open either. I used to think that was very strange, but it gave me more time to browse round the old creaky antique shops. Not buying, just looking mostly. Jan

Apologies to Lisa, been waffling on about Arundel and this is serious for those down South, I remember what the last one was like. Hope everyone is OK. Jan
