Mark Here is some information on HMS Hotham. Hope its the right ship. Sorry there was no contacts address. NavSource Online: Destroyer Escort Photo Archive DE- 574 HMS HOTHAM K-583 CLASS - Buckley Displacement 1,400 Tons, Dimensions, 306' (oa) x 37' x 13' 6" (Max) Armament 3 x 3"/50, 4 x 1.1" AA, 8 x 20 mmAA, 3 x 21"TT (1x3) 1 Hedgehog, 8 DCT, 2racks. Machinery, 12,000 SHP; G. E. Turbines with electric drive, 2 screws Speed, 24 Knots, Range 6,000 NM @ 12 Knts. Crew 186. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Operational and Building Data Laid down by Bethlehem Steel, Hingham MA 5 November 1943, Launched 21 December 1943 Commissioned (USN) Never, To Britain as lend lease 8 February 1944 Retained post war and fitted out as floating power station for use at Sinapore. Moved to Hong Kong and used as station ship. Returned to England in late 1947. My Step Dad served on a ship called HMS Hotham during the war,ive been trying to find anything on this ship or her crew.can anybody help me??? All ive found so far is 1 story and 2 pic's.My Dad is getting on now but would like to see if anybody else is left.many thanks
