the whole day is magical - and its the first year Paul and I will have the day on our own - so looking forward to it. we are lucky cos ours will start on the Christmas Eve when we are on webcam with the Australian branch - and celebrate with them. And then on Christmas Day we will be talking to our other little darling up in Newcastle and hear her delight - Rachel is 7 months old now and a bright little button - hopefully their webcam will be working and we can see her . and I will get to open these presents from Aus that have been sitting here for WEEKS now! lol

Seeing the rest of the family opening their presents and watching their faces ..... and excitedly hoping that I've got them what they want! Mandy :)

Since I have no small children the best for me is cooking dinner: We are having lamb this year and there will be at least 6 for dinner including an elderly neighbour.

Andy.. not corny at all. That's why, after having Christmas dinner at home for a few years, we've decided to spend that day at my Mum and Dads this year.

Without wanting to sound corny, but being surrounded by people that are special to you.

I love the bit in the evening at about 9.00 when we're all full and slightly intoxicated... just lazing around looking at our new presents and watching something funny on tv. Bliss...

Jack, like you it's seeing the kids excitement, followed by the christmas dinner and then playing silly games and having a laugh. Kxx

hi jack when my littluns were small(many moons ago) i was exactly the same as you.i loved to see their faces on christmas morning. now its when my grandchildren arrive at 3.30 .they have dinner round their other grandparents houses and then come to ours for the afternoon and evening. we put all their prezzies in their own sacks and its magical watching them open them susie

For me it's seeing my daughter's excitment when she see's all of the prezzies under the tree, followed closely by the fact that I don't have to go to work! Jack x
