from the mirror yesterday. Every single baby born in Britain yesterday - 20/12 - has been promised a starring role if we host the 2012 Olympic Games. Around 1800 babies were born across the country yesterday and London 2012 bid organisers want them to have a chance to take part in the Games. The children - who will be seven at the time of the 2012 Olympics - will take part in official ceremonies or cultural events.

That's a good idea! We'll know the result in 196 days and just over an hour. We just have to beat Madrid, Moscow, New York and Paris

Yeah, saw this too. It's a good idea - but could you imagine being the person in charge of organising 1800 7yr olds!!!!! Kxx

I think it's an appalling idea. For a start, some children will be too disabled to take part.

Elizabeth's girl was born on the 20th so should be included. The aim of the Olympics is inclusion for all, so I am sure those with all kinds of disabilities would be included in either the olympics or paralympics. I am firmly behind the bid to bring the olympics to my little corner of the world. Maz. XX
