These costumes have caused quite a stir already. I was at the Christmas dance with my measuring tape. WEll what else do you take to a dance. Half way through the dance i started taking men (6 in total) out to be measured for there costumes. One at a time Of course. The other people at the dance didn't know what i was doing all they could see was me disapearing with all these different men. You can imagine what they were saying. Well one of the men tried to do a runner so i caught him in the corridor. It was so funny, all the people in the dance could see was this man standing with his coat wide open and me kneeling down beside him taking measurements. What a laugh. no i was being good really. No naughty measurements. I took a lot of stick after that. And no they still don't know what i'm making. Its a secret. Last year the fitting room was the disbled toilets so you can imagine what people were saying about me going in and out the toilet with different men. Well the best bit is yet to come. i have to do a fitting just to make sure they fit right. I've told them i am going to keep the apron up with a bit of double sided tape and most of them believed me. Only one person has said NO. Well he has a very hairy chest. Jane

HI Pink Diane I do appriciate your support. I'm just fed up at the moment I tell you what i will turn my attention to making the nurses outfits for our charity linedance were are doing. I have to make nurses outfits for 6 men of various shapes and sizes. They are going to look really strange. I can't say too much in case there are any spies on here who are coming to the cabaret. I know there are a few people who come from my area on this site. Last year i dressed these men up as Ballet dancers they looked really funny. I will never see them in the same light again. Have a lovely Christmas Jane

Pink Diane Yes your right may be it's not worth all the effort! Or perhaps my friends have had a word with the powers that be and said "No not those cards again" Well i think i will take Nells advice. Next year i will start them early (which will be a first) and then i could send them early.!!!!! and if i make lots i can send then another just in case the first ones got lost. Jane

Why is it that when you want to do something special for your friends everything just seems to go wrong!!! I wanted to make my friends special Christmas cards and home made calenders so i got my embroidery machine out only to find it wasn't stitching properly. I took it to the shop to be repaired and they said it would take 3 weeks to fix as they have to send it away to London. End of Christmas cards. I have just got it back (with £144 worth of damage) and the stitching is worse. So i have to take it back. Don't know when i will see it again and the way things are going i don't know that i want to see it again. Its been nothing but trouble since i had it. Perhaps someone could steal it from me and then i could get a new one!!! Happy Christmas from a really fed up Jane
