Hugs for Jamielee, I'm sure Santa's visit will cheer her up. Jordan had chickenpox when he was 4, went down with it just before New Year and was really poorly. Absolutely covered in spots everywhere you could think of, plus a few other places as well! In Somerset if you're 'covered' in spots, they say 'diggled in spots' :)) Mandy xx

I hope Jaimelee feels better soon. Connie had her chicken pox age 3-1/2. She came out in spots a couple of days before new year. New years eve was awfull, she woke every half hour cos of the itching. Mind you she soon bounced back with no ill affects. At least the spots arrived after the concert eh! Mind you, I wonder how many others will come out in it in the next fortnight, as it is most infectious before the spots come out. Small tip I found usefull Buy a few cheap bath sponges & cut them into small peices. Use a peice dipped in calamine (this will go much further than cotton wool, which dries out after the first wipe.) Its also far gentler than cotton wool which may leave threads on the skin. A teaspoon (or a deft shake) of cooking bicarbonate of soda in the bath, will help dry the spots and ease irritation. (Doc advised this ) Piriton is brilliant to ease the itch. and is safe to take. (but seek advice first from doc or chemist) Finally, the distraction of christmas is the best tonic, Take piccys as this will be one xmas to remember lol Elaine x

Poor little thing. I bet she perks up when she sees the rocking horse! Give her a bath in oatmeal it will ease the itching. To stop her scratching tell her to "tap" the itch. It worked on both of my kids - no scars. Best Wishes to you and your family for Chrismas. deb
