Maybe he died in 1943 putting your water tank in. Perhaps you should get down to your Records Office and look for his death index. Kathy

Yeah, must've had a SOH when he was alive! He's the type who'd hide your inhaler!!!

I think i'd like to do that when I die, give a little chuckle now and then after playing a joke. Great fun :-)

oooh yeah! Didn't think of that doh! it was after 1943 that i know! This was about 2 years ago, I was in a blind tizzy looking for my coat, as I was late for college, I ran up stairs and all over the house, I was sure i left it hanging up under the stairs. Just as I had ran down stairs I heard "in here" coming from teh living room (there was no one in at the time) I thougth someone had left the TV on, I went into the living room and yup there was my coat!!! and no tv on Well I pooped myself, but said thank you nonetheless, then i heard a laugh......then I ran out of the house!!!!

Claire, It might be interesting to send off for his death certificate to find out how he died? Kathy

You think? I kinda like having him around, he's just another family member and has been very helpful on many occasions. But I looked at his family on the census, it's quite large and it would be nice to have him back with his family. I want to see if I can find out more about him, he may have unfinished business etc too.

Have you ever tried to get him exorcised? Maybe it is time dear George settled on 'the other side'.

When we first moved in it was awful, he would scare my little sisters and brother and myself all the time. By sitting on the end of your bed, appearing in your room, moving things, making noises all just to scare you (often followed by a laugh..or was it!) Now he's more sedate, his ghosty ears must be burning though!

So was George a friendly ghost or the scary type?

In September of 1994 me and my family (all seven of us) moved to a large victorian house in Liverpool. I was only 10 at the time by little brother was 18 months. The first night we stayed was exciting and after a couple of weeks we all began to settle into the house, all except my little brother. My dad would often find him at the top of the stairs and when my dad asked why wasnt he in bed, Jack would often reply, "cuz George wont let me sleep" or "cuz George is watchin' me" In the December, Dad went up to the loft to hide the Christmas presents from me and my sisters having a root! He was looknig around the huge space and spotted a water tank above my little brother's bedroom. On it there was an inscription. "George 1943" When Dad told us, not really believing it, we'd tease saying "george is coming to get you!" We've had many spooky experience in this old house, so when I started my family tree on Genes, it occured to me to check out who lived in a house like ours. Not thinking I'd find what I thought I was going to find (well Loudolph found!) On the 1901 census.......was George Andrews, age 19 Plummer. ..................explains why his name is on the old water tank eh!!!!
