God help us all if 'the Wicked Witch' ever becomes Prime Minister! Sue xx

Well Thank You Marion, you have courage and have now given me the same to put my little bit on without feeling I may get lynched. What a shame an intelligent woman like Mrs Blair can only be measured by her looks. Should she look like a page three girl and have nothing but cotton wool between her ears??? Wonder did the Thatcher family give much money to charity during their reign at Downing Street?, and what a waste of space they brought up in Mark. I admire Cherie Blair, I think women should be proud to have her as the Prime Minister's wife, and maybe one day someone like her will be Prime Minister, all WOMEN can be proud of. Pat x

And she`s one of the ugliest women I`ve ever seen.

Yes Mandy, but she still buys second hand things cheap on E-Bay! Sue xx By the way---- has anyone seen Tony lately---conspicuous by his lack of comment on the tragedy in Asia, isn't he?

Look at when she went to that children's designer clothes shop, they offered her a freebie (why? she of all people could afford to pay!) and went round literally filling her arms with stuff. After all the furore, she paid - or at least her PR said she did - but she wasn't going to!

Fairy

Fairy Report 29 Dec 2004 20:23

Well I would like to know exactly what she does do. She's got a lot to live up to being the PM's wife, I would have thought it would be in her own interests to promote her husbands career.........and basically..........be nice. But she is not.

Grampa Jim, Do you think she would sue me for calling her the Blair woman?. She's been called a lot worse in the newspapers. Jo

A WORD OF CAUTION That Blair Woman is, as has been said, a Barrister. Please ensure that no-one says anything libellous. I would hate for her to add your money to hers through a suit for damages.

Jacky... I'm sure you're right. I just can't stand the woman...

Paul, As with many who donate who do things for charity, it is often not publicised. Does anyone know what she does do for her chosen ones? It could be a lot and not made public. There again it could be nothing. We don't know (or I don't!) so it is unfair to judge her actions over the book royalties without knowing. Jacky PS I HATE political discussions!! :-))

Unknown Report 29 Dec 2004 15:01

Jacky I do agree with you, regarding the matter of expectation... however... if she is parton or trustee of several charities, I imagine they were expecting her to live up to that position. Paul

JackyJ1593 Report 29 Dec 2004 15:00

Mandy, I am not defending her personally but surely the same would apply to many people including Politicians and Actors. They all have more than enough but still keep royalties. Yes, it would be a nice gesture for her to offer the royalties but I don't think she or anyone else, should be expected to. We all know from our own experiences that it is those who have the least that donate the most be it with time, money or enthusiasm for something. Jo, I agree. It would be great if the second lady of the land would lead by example but to date, I can't say that has happened whoever it has been! Jacky

well she's a barrister isn't she ? I rest my case lol

Fairy

Fairy Report 29 Dec 2004 14:55

Jacky, I made this comment because of who she is. Second lady of the land. She should be thinking surely of making friends and influencing people, of which she does neither. Jo.

Unknown Report 29 Dec 2004 14:48

I agree with you Jo - she disgusts me too, she is nothing but a freeloader. Sorry Jacky, I disagree. She has more than enough money for her needs but can't donate her royalties to charity? I make and sell greetings cards - very small time - but I don't keep any profit for myself, only the cost of the materials. The profit is sent straight to my local hospice. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't make some sort of effort to support charity. Besides having no dress sense and no manners, she obviously doesn't have any conscience either.
