according to yesterdays newspapers. Experts are warning that Europe could also be affected by a Tsuni wave! There is a piece of rock the size of the isle of man which is due to fall into the sea in the Canary Islands. If this happens then the same thing that happened in asia could also happen closer to home. |

Not according to the papers. They said it would effect Europe but to what degree they are not sure of. Surely if they know its going to happen then there is something they can do to prevent it |

Is'nt there a volcano under the meditterranian sea which is overdue to erupt which would have the same affect as the asian earthquake and the wave could hit our coastline, happy to be corrected if me old memory has it wrong :o) |

La Palma is a volcanic island which has a crack right through the middle. An eruption is overdue, and if half the island falls into the sea as predicted the Tidal wave would certainly devastate the Eastern seaboard of the USA. However, it doesn't go in a straight line, but in a big circle away from the splash, as any small boy with a pond and a pocketful of pebbles will tell you. This means that the wave will also spread northwards towards Ireland with God knows what effect on the English Channel. I wouldn't buy any property in Selsey if I were you. |
