I all ways thought that mine was uncommon until I started to research it!!! BIDDLE, then I have RODEN, which is a bit more uncommon than the other one. I also have EGLINTON and WITCOMB. :)) Bev |

I have CHOWNS [variants Chouns, Chowndes, Chounes, Chownes etc] from Oxfordshire/Bucks, SMOOTHY from Chelmsford Essex In 1858 a Mr Smoothy married Miss Chowns - they are my gt gt grandparents and it is their wedding recorded in the family bible that got me started on this genealogy lark in the first place. I have the only HONNACOTT on this site, although there are other spelling variations. Also all the TIVERS on here are related to me as are all the CARSONS (with an S) - both names of my maternal Grandparents. Sue xx |

I have Sagar. Not as uncommon as most, but all the English ones are connected somewhere. Back in the 1980's, there were only 2500 in the whole of the British Isles lol (much better than Pearsons and Hobsons for which there are tens of thousands!) |
