Thank you all for your kind words and I really mean that! sorry I wasn't around yesterday but I had some family troubles - and as I said to my family - things could be worse, a lot worse! Strump, Kevin did leave with your details, cos I made sure he did but I don't want to upset you - but there is so little hope now, as we all know! I haven't heard from Kevin since he left! max xx

Well done Maz for trying. But you didn't fail, the opportunity just was not there for you to go, and it was sensible to back off when you realised that. We, on this board, are very proud of both you and Donna for trying to help. I am sure that you are emant to chanel your help in a different way, maybe by fund raising, or raising awareness or something. Max - you tried and that is important - the majority of us can only offer prayers and donate monies which will be badly needed to help the people to rebuild their lives. There are centres being set up around the country for packing of clothing etc. In a centre in Swindon today on the news even children were there helping. God bless you for being a humanitarian Ann

hi max, well as i tols donna,maybe your not meant to go yet. but these people are going to need help for a long time yet, so be ready to replace some of the people that are helping out there now....your time will come i,m sure, so God bless you and I pray that if you do go and do this work that you will be kept safe and return home safely ...

I've spent the entire day at Heathrow, I watched Kevin leave (with my Tescos hand luggage though!). Am so disappointed but I was not wanted or needed! Kevin has left without me to Bangkok because I would have literally been stranded there! There are no flights to Phuket at all, at least not for the time being. Kevin has flown to Bangkok without me because he has been a member of various charities for years whereas I haven't! I am so, so disappointed but at least I tried and was willing (so I've been told) that said I didn't and don't want to be a hindrance so I will still donate my airfare, which I had planned to do anyway! Don't think I will stay up to see the New Year out, but then I'm lucky at least I have a bed. I wish everyone a happy new year, even though for many it will be just another day! Sorry Strump! max xx
