I'm here on my own too. Husband has taken to his bed - he has an excuse though - bronchitis! I never could get into New Year stuff much, and this year it just don't feel right...! I have made a donation and only wish it could be more. |

Yep, it's a wretched situation. We have had bereavements in 2004 which was dreadful, but trying to imagine losing whole families like this is horrifying. There will be no celebrations here - we simply cannot align it with what has happened. |

We are having a quiet night in. The candle is burning in the window. I have given a donation so why do I still feel so sad? There is no joy in giving when the tragedy is so great. I see it more as a duty. |

But this new year is somewhat different. My heart goes out to those effected by the disaster, and also the way it is going to effect us in 2005. I bid you all a Happy New Year and most of all may it be a healthy one. |
