Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can enlighten me on some suberbs of Wiltshire? On my great grandfathers Marriage Cert. in 1895 he says he was born in Seend Wiltshire and is aged 47 so he was born in 1848.But on BMD I can only find a James Trueman in 1847 in Highworth. Could this be him?? There is no James Trueman listed in 1848. I have found Melksham comes up a lot instead of Seend also. Has anyone got any info as I am reluctant to spend money on a Birth Cert that isn't the right one? Thanks in advance Jenny in Australia. PS Anyone ever heard of a Elsie Ellen Trueman born 1896 can't find a marriage or death in UK, or anywhere for that matter. Thanks again,Jen

Jen - Seend is very close to Melksham, it is nearest town so births and deaths probably registered here. I think Highworth is near Swindon, which is a bit further away, check out multimap(.)co(.)uk for distances, hope this helps! Sheila
