I know this has nothing to do with genealogy but..... My daughter had MSN messenger which was fine, today she installed MSN messenger 7.0 and now we have a "search toolbar" at the bottom of the screen and a million "pop-ups" can any one tell me how to get rid of these nuisances'. thank you Tricia

Try going into Control Panel, then Administrative Tools then Services. Select the service called Messenger and the select stop. Rick.

Hi. I downloaded something the other day, and a tool bar appeared at the bottom of the screen, and I got lots of pop up, pain in the rear end, so I deleted it.. My son has just said to keep this messenger and not upgrade.. Pat
