Thank goodness we had a new roof in the Summer last yr! I feel so sorry for all those living in flooded areas..........

Jenny reporting from Tynemouth here. Police and fire engines out in force. The wind is still horrendous. Four fence panels down in the garden. Haydon Bridge has had a Severe Flood warning. The Tyne is rising fast. Jenny

Harlow Horrible wind in the night, still windy but calmed down a fair bit now. Felt a bit worried in the night but all seems fine. Elaine x

Dry, really bright and sunny, if a bit wild and windy here in south east Kent so we may have got away with it here. Firefighter son may tell us differently, when he comes in though.

we live on top of a hill...a big one.... and the wind up here is horrendous. I thought the windows were coming through last night and this morning, and then when I went out to shop, a gust almost blew my car into a bin wagon!

We have just found out more storm damage. Six ridge tiles from our roof are now on the garage roof. Plus three or for slates have vanished. Hubby says about £300 worth of damage. Will have to get son up into the loft when he gets home from work. Just hope the rain has not come in. Not so windy here now though. Jean, daughter is off to The Metro Centre this very minute. Hope all that glass is still intact. Jenny x
