Have used the pinhole for many years - however just a few days ago read of this tup - a 2p piece in the bottom of vase works even better. Haven't tried it yet. Ann |

Linda - for roses, after you have trimmed the stems to length, crush the bottom of the stems :O) Dont know if it will work with roses, but lemonade is good for some cut flowers too ............ Anne in Kent PS. Always use the flower food that comes with them, it does help to prolonge their 'vase' life. |

Christine Get a needle or pin and prick a hole about 1in down the stalk from the flower.it will get water up the stem properly.then they shouldn't droop. Sue |

Bought these tulips from the supermarket yesterday, and today they are all flopped over the side of the vase, put flower powder in as well... should have bought the freesias instead! :)) |
