It's just a thought, but have you thought writing to different parishes and asking them if they have some records on the marraige of your relatives. Nicola x

Bev great news! I found this by googling: " The Greffe Royal Court House St Peter Port Guernsey GY1 2PB 01481 725277 Registers of births and deaths from 1840 and of marriages since 1919 are held here, with copies of wills. Although Alderney and Sark kept their own records, enquiries should first be made here. " nell

That's great Bev, fingers crossed that you have the correct relative. I know how you feel though, it's like banging your head against a brick wall. You feel like you won't get anywhere and then out of the blue, you find what it is that you are looking for. I had difficulties finding my family on the 1881 census then weeks down the line I managed to find them, the last name was spelt wrong. I am still trying to find my great great uncle and not having much luck. I know he will pop up somewhere, when I least expect it lol Nicola

thanks to lorraine on this site, i may have found Kezia, Widow of Samuel Marsh. he died in 1854 in Guernsey and she was deported what the hell she was doing over there i have no idea, but a quick search on Ancestry revealed a number of Tetts on the island in 1881/91 so at least i have something to go on. now..........................does anybody know how to get a marriage cert on Guernsey????????????????
