Elaine, Maybe thats why I don't like January as both my parents died on the same day in January, but 40 years apart. Mags & Strump, thats for the ((((hugs)))). ((((hugs)))) back!. Jo.

The only thing I used to hate about January is that it always seemed a VERY long way to pay day!! My garden is coming alive now - bulbs up by miles, things budding - so not too bad. Sorry it gets you down and for anyone that finds it does - sending a huge 'January sucks' type hug! Magsxx

I feel exactly the same But I lie in wait of something nasty happening in January. 17th Jan 1981.. my lovely mum died at 38 from cancer. 22nd Jan 1995 my nan died 28th Jan 2001 my lovely stepmum died Wednesday 5th January 2005 my great aunt died Thursday 6th January 2005, my next door neighbour & friend died. So far its 2 deaths this January. I wish I could wake up on 1st Feb & bypass January. Maybe then we would bypass all the bad luck. Elaine x:o((

I always try to have something to look forward to Like a holiday. Dont like Jan its like an anti climax isnt it? book a holiday and feel better

Count me in too! I always try and have something planned for January to look forward to and keep my spirits up! I'm quite engrossed in my new family tree software, but still struggling a bit. Mandy xx

Does anyone else feel the same about January? Christmas has gone, New Year also. Whats left? To me a 'nothing' month. A long way to Spring, and in between fog, cold and rain. It's a sad month where the earth is still asleep. I wish I could hibernate and wake on 1st February. Jo.
