tried googling his name i can find all the songs he wrote but nothing about him birth/death etc

Have you tried 'googling' his name ? - I just did and there are entries on there that may relate! - Songwriter etc. (date 1917) Scroll down a bit. Magsxx

Im beginning to think the name Dan might be a stage name. The Name Lipton appears in a very old address book !950s for an E Lipton as well which would suggest that is his last name, he is also on the pasenger list as Dan Lipton. silly question did you need a passport in 1908 to go to New York ?

Have found a poss on 1891 do you know of any siblings??? Sephton, Daniel Age in 1891: 18 Relation: Son Gender: Male Where Born: rainhill, Lancashire Is Rainhill anywhere near Liverpool???

Can any one help, ive come to a dead end. Trying to trace a DAN LIPTON born liverpool 1874. I know he went to New York in 1908, before then he live at kennington Rd, Lambeth, London. H was a song writer. I can not find any birth details or info on 1881,1891,1901 census for Liverpool or London. Im now at a total loss as to were to try next. Anyone got any suggestions ?
