Once again thanks everyone for your support. I expect a lot of our local lads will turn out for the funeral. My son & I will certainly be there.

Words just dont seem enough Jim! I am so very sorry about what has happened! I really dont know why people feel the urge to comment on things that they know nothing about! Your friend sounds like a good person who put the welfare of the kids before himself.........people like that should be applauded, not condemned! Once again Jim my thoughts are with you at this sad time!! Bevx

Jim, perhaps this "someone" who raised the question (and I'd question their integrity) should remember that your friend helped a lot of lads through some difficult times bearing in mind their age. He would therefore have had a profound effect in their lives, for the better. My thoughts are with you and his family. God bless, Glenys x

I'm so sorry Jim to hear of your sad news. I have a couple of girlfriends who live together and they are called Dykes. They certainly are not. People have to assume the worst when it is perfectly innocent. Jo.

Jim, This is awful, why dont people engage their brain before opening their mouths. I know we have to look out for our young but there has to be absolute proof before we start even thinking that way never mind voicing our opinions. My heart goes out to this man's family and friends. Take care Jim Love June xx

Jim, I am so sorry. A friend of mine had similar unfounded allegations made against him. This plus other stresses led to a nervous breakdown. People can be incredibly stupid, spreading rumours like this. I am terrilby sorry for your loss. Sal.x

Gossip can be such a wicked and evil thing - a lesson to all perhaps to curb our tongues when we speak without thinking. God help that poor man - the torment he must have endured - grant him the peace that he deserves. Our thoughts to his friends and relatives. Ann
