In the last couple of hours I've had four e-mails wanting to sell me 'drugs on line' Each one has been from a different person, just a christian name. I've just deleted them without opening them. Just be careful. Jo.

Hi Jo - yes, me!! Have had loads of them recently, although I don't get any other junk mail at all. All I used to get were those fake bank ones, nothing else, then they stopped and the drugs ones started! I don't know how they get through when other junk doesn't. Mandy :)

Yes, I get between 6 and 15 every day, Viagra, Cialis and others, plus lots of ones aimed at men and their bits!!!!!. Roz

I got so much junk mail on i had to open another account I set the first one to reply to all emails that it was a dead address it still get six hundred a week :o))

I am constantly getting these 'drug e-mails' - on average 2 a day but some days a lot more - I don't open them, just delete them - really annoying!!! Clare

I think I'm getting a lot of spam - but if the e-mail address has lots of numbers in it, and I don't recognise, I just delete without opening. I had an interesting one with an attachment the other day - from abuse,us,gov which accused me of visiting illegal sites. tha attachment allegedly cntained a list of the illegal sites I'd visited. Odd cos I don't visit American sites! Before opening it I googled the address - and found out the attachment contained an irremovable worm! maggie

Jo, If you are with NTL, there is no stopping them now they have your addy!! Had to change email address as I was getting over 2000 a month of pills, pron, dating, you name it, as once they have your email address................. I still dial through NTL but then all my emails get processed via a different server. Kim

Get at least thirty a day darn nuisance, I am forever blacklisting them in my mailwasher program, its obviously these people have nothing better to do. Home loans approved are another, so to are computer add-ons. Just when will it end. Have you ever noticed that when you do get these emails there are several addressees and it becomes apparent that they just list every Tom, Dick and Harry attaching all know email providers and sending them out. As others say NEVER respond to them! John

Hi Jo, we also get the e-mails offering drugs. They are difficult to block because they always come from a different e-mail address, but can't you get them marked as spam? We are with wanadoo and all our junk mail is filtered and marked as spam then deleted after 7 days. Maggy

I'm sorry you all get this rubbish as well. Do you think they get the addresses from being on GC? I don't mean it's GC's fault, I'm not saying that. Perhaps we could just be easy targets on here. Jo.

I get them and have followed the blocking rules but then I just get loads more, so if I set my e-mail to delete all post with "viagra" in the title, I get a lot saying "via*gra" or "vi-agra" and so on. It's annoying, but then I've got ntl. I don't want to get another provider because I don't want to change my e-mail address as I've left it on various genealogy sites in case someone contacts me regarding family. nell

The other thing is I've read that about 80% of e-mail traffic is junk and its clogging up the internet. I can't imagine that if anyone does buy anything in this way [assuming some of the mails are genuinely targetted at making sales] that it can really generate any profit. But then every week I get leaflets through my door about having my patio done or double glazing etc. At least my illiterate ancestors were spared that! nell

surely that would be a matter for the police.especially if this is also targeted at young childrenxxxx(:
