Bev, I would appreciate any interesting recipe that you might have for fish or chicken. Hubby is diabetic and has high cholestrol and we are both sick of my food. Thanks Lindy;-)) |

Lindy! Cajun Griddled Fish 1 tbsp paprika half tsp dried onion powder half tsp garlic salt half tsp ground cumin half tsp cayenne pepper half tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp dried thyme 4 6oz skinless white fish fillets (cod, Halibut) juice of 1 lime or half small lemon Fry light Lime wedges and fresh thyme to garnish 1) In a small bowl mix together the parika, onion powder, garlic salt, cumin, cayenne, pepper and thyme 2) Wash and pat dry the fish fillets and sprinkle with lime/lemon juice. Spread a thin layer of the spice mixture over both sides of the fish, making sure they are completely coated 3) Spray a non stick griddle or large frying pan with Fry Light and heat until very hot and press the fish fillets into the pan using a fish slice - there will be a hiss and some smoke. Cokk for 2 mins until richly golden and slighlty blackened, then turn over and cook for a further 2 mins until tender and cooked through 4) Drain and serve with lime wedges and fres thyme sprigs sprinkled over. Accompany with a crisp salad This recipe is for 4 so you could halve the ingredients if you want.....Enjoy! Bev |

That fish sounds nice - might have to give that one a whirl - reminds me of the blackened catfish I had in Florida - it'll probably be cod though lol |

Paul I only ever use cod! It really is delicious and hard to believe its a slimming world dish! Maz its free on an original day and 9 sins on a green day! These recipes are not including your a or b choice! You are still free to use them! Have you tried the slimming world chips? Delicious on a green day with egg, beans and quorn sausages! Slimming World Chips Medium sized potato Fry Light Salt and Vinegar 1)Preheat oven to gas mark 9/240C/475F. Peel potatoes and slice them into chips 2) Bring a pan of salted water to the boil, add the chips and cook for 4 mins. Drain and leave aside for 10mins 3) Return the chips to the dry saucepan, cover with a lid to roughen up the edges of the chips. 4) Spray a metal baking tray with Fry Light. Put the chips on the tray and spray again with fry light. Bake in the oven for 20-25 mins turning occasionally until golden brown on all sides Serve with salt and pepper........lovely! Make sure you shake the chips as roughing up the edges is important to the texture |

Hi Maz, Unfortunately, living in Portugal does not help me at all. That is why I was hoping that there is a book about the diet. Thanks, Lindy;-)) |

Maz, That would be too much of an imposition. If the book is on sale to the public I can get a copy from an English Book Store that we have in town. Thanks Lindy;-)) |
