my topics don't seem to appeal to anyone much (apart from the discussion about youngsters interested in family history). Have concluded that I am exceedingly boring.

Hang on, Sarah. Wasn't it you that did the 'advice before posting' thread on the tips board? That was a really good one....but, of course, I was afraid to reply to it in case it suffered an early death!!!! Hope you like my new name!! Natalie

Yes it was indeed me. In an effort to try to cut down on the amounts of topics over on the Record Office board that had to be replied to with lots of questions before any searching could begin I started that topic. There is in fact a topic on this board discussing what to do next with it and what GR said about it. Will nudge it in case anyone is interested. So ok... 2 topics of mine have been interesting :)

You see, Sarah, you're definitely not boring. Meanwhile, the thread I responded to earlier tonight is already on page 3!!! We're actually doing quite well on keeping this thread on page one, though!!!!!!

I've had to nudge one of my topics because no one has replied to it. I wonder what the secret to a successful topic is?

And I thought I was the only one! So pleased I'm not alone! I've joined two clubs tonight--Helen's and Hazel's Humanist one. I'm so happy! I'm with Camberwell Beauty--I often don't add comments to threads, though I'd dearly love to, cos I know I'd get chucked off! I sometimes think that the last comment on a thread is the most succinct and wraps the conversation up so nicely that that is why no-one else adds to it. Or at least that's what I tell myself... Watch this space....
