Anthony. Yes, i'm positive. The Goverment for National Statistics (ONS) is the goverment department responsible for collecting and publishing official statistics about the uk's society and economy. They carry out the ten year census and also responsible for the registration of births marriages and deaths. through the General Register Office. Jenny

I never answer surveys unless I see the point of them. Usually they are so they can market something to sell you, or so some bloke can stand up in Parliament and present a lot of statistics to "prove" that progress is being made. My time is too valuable. - I'd rather be on here! nell

Has anyone else had a letter during the last ten days asking for you to participate? I have just had a very nice lady call. Survey supposed to take just over half an hour. But she has been her for just over an hour. Mind you we did natter about everything under the sun during the survey. Mainly Genealogy and ancestors. They ask all about who lives in the household. Ages, if in employment, wages, if claiming benefits etc. The main thing they want to know is what (if any) qualifications anyone has. Luckily Hubby has a folder with all his in and me, son and daughter have none. They also ask if you have, are or intend to do any Goverment training schemes. If you are expecting anyone to call ,try to have all this information to hand. Jenny.
