Microfilmed parish records!!

Hi Do any of you find that when you are searching through parish records that some pages are microfilmed twice, as in you scroll from one page and find the next page is exactly the same as there is a considerable amount at the London Metropolitan Archives. That is timewasting and annoying when your time could be spent more effectively tracing your ancestors. |

Hi Benjamin Yes Iv'e discovered that too. I think it has something to do with the page size. I have found that there is usually a note on the envelope holding the fiche though. jeanette x |

Hi Benjamin, The LDS do this as well. They do it because the condition of the original records is poor so they alter the contrast and film again so that the whole page is readable at some point. I don't know if this applies to LMA. Gwynne |
