Customs and habits of other countries

Every country I suppose has a custom or habit which if you're not familiar with would think "strange". When laying the table for a Dutch family, even if they were only having a sandwich, you would lay a knife and fork. They eat their bread with a knife and fork. I thought this "strange" at first, but am used to it now. Do you know of any other similar habits? Sylvia xxx |

When last we were in Holland(the Netherlands) we had breakfast of egg and bacon which was served on large pieces of toast. Strange but still tasted good. Rupert. |

The Americans, on the whole, eat their meals with a fork, disregarding the knife. Works just as well! Sylvia xxx |
