Reports have recently been received from an international news agency that there is a virus spreading via email which poses as an appeal for people to make donations to the Tsunami Appeal. Such emails apparently have a title "Tsunami donation - please help", and contain an attachment called tsunami.exe, which alleges to connect you to a website where you can donate, but in fact contains a virus. Further detail as yet unknown, but please be aware of this. CB >|<

Yet another reminder that you should never open an e-mail unless you are sure you know who it is from. Sadly there was a report in our local paper about two young women pretending to be collecting money for the tsunami disaster. nell

Yesterday, I had one of those 'send us confirmation of your bank details' requests from some bogus finance outfit. Just a reminder not to give any details away if you get these 'reminders'. If you think it could be genuine, check with your bank or credit card company first. CB >|<
