Hi, Maybe these people can help - Traceline ADDRESS PO Box 106 Southport PR8 2HM Internet Address: Tel:0151 471 4811 Minicom: Fax:01704 563354 DESCRIPTION Organisation which can help re-establish contact with friends and family, by informing the person being sought that a letter is being held for them at the Traceline office. If the person has died they will advise how to obtain a copy of the death certificate. Will also help companies trace customers or former employees e.g to make payment on assurance policies or pensions, and to find will beneficiaries. Will not act in cases involving adoption, or where contact may be disruptive. Search fee for priority service is £30 and £25 for letter forwarding. Ring for further details. Gwynne

Hi Mo Just to say that the Salvation Army don't do adoption searching. Neither does the PRO Traceline BUT they do have an Adoption Contact Register. Joan Allen is brilliant, and there is also NORCAP, the national adoption organisation/charity. There are lots of adoptees on this site who have 'been there' (me included) so please don't be afraid to ask any questions. Also, your friend will need you very much, she is lucky to have a supportive friend like you, as adoption searching is an emotional journey that you can't do alone. Wishing her all the very best. Love Mandyxx
