Jules, I have tried without much luck to get info from Brazil. Mt g grandfather was born in Montevideo in Uraguay, but on his natralization papers he is listed as Brazillian. There are no census records that are of use to genealogists. They do have a census, but unfortunatley they delete all the names on them, and just leave info like ages, occupations etc. There is a place where you can access birth records, but you have to pay the fee over there! You cannot pay by any other method. I have not been able to locate any information about my grandfathers life over there, except what is written in his natralization papers. If you do have more luck than me, i would be interested to hear. Good luck. Pat
