Did someone just nudge this - wasn't me. I like the idea Lynda, but sadly we don't have any of those motherly types here. We have a couple of very pregnant 20/30 somethings, but thats about it (being an IT office we're 90% male). That said, feeling a little better as the day progresses :)

Ok, well thanks for all the tips (and the abuse lol), however just to clarify a bit more... I've already had a brisk walk, took the dog out first thing. Have had one cup of tea and one cup of coffee, second coffee just arrived. Can't go back to bed, too busy at work (honest). Can't play any music, as I'm in an office environment... Am not hungover - only alcohol last night was one (largish) glass of red wine...

Shelli, yeah I heard that too, but don't buy into this myth that the 24th will be the most depressing day of the year. January as a whole is not meant to be liked, if December is the party then January is supposed to be the hangover from hell.

You must have some sort of music that always lifts you out of the Doldrums - but I suppose they won't let you walk around wired in to your favourite sounds at work. You sounds a bit downto me not just tired - find someone that tells jokes and have a ruddy good laugh - always a good energiser! Failing that sod off home and have a sleep! lol Magsxx

they said something on the radio yesterday, about Friday being the most depressing day of the year???? something to do with the fact, it's just before pay, and lots of people are in debt due to xmas, the weather etc, can't recall the rest, very hard to hear radio over WW3!!!! But they suggested the same as Elaine, plan ahead, give yourself something to look forward to , atreat a holiday etc

Hi Paul, come down this way and have a good brisk walk along the beach (not the muddy one), that will blow away any tiredness and cobwebs very quickly. Trish xx

A brisk walk somewhere Paul. Not sure how it works but think chemicals are released in your brain, fighting'the blues' too.

Feel absolutely exhausted today, not quite sure why. Had a few late nights this week, but thats not unusual for me. Any suggestions for how to give myself a boost ?
