The rebuilding of St John Newfoundland

Hello, I have discovered that my Great Grandfather Renton Wright went, with 27 other artisans, to St John , Newfoundland after it burnt down in the 1880's. They were a gang of stonemasons, bricklayers etc. My ggf married into the Oliver Family from the same village Hurworth-on-Tees, Co.Durham and I presume that as three of these were Brickies that they were part of this gang. Several of them never came back, and at least one of the Oliver brothers migrated to California, as my grandmother cont'd a correspondence with the family branch until her death in the 1960's. My Aunt Olive cont'd that correspondence but did not leave info for it to continue, sadly. Have anyone any hint of this effort in their FH. I'd be interested to learn more. Howard Wright
