anyone ever thought of doing it.hopefully going to do it when the 15th anniversary comes up in two years time.am planning it as from now as a suprise for my hubbyxx

Hi Lisa Me and my hubby did it for our silver it was lovely it was just like a real wedding had flowers ,church,two extra rings I had 2 bands of gold and 5 diamonds making 25 and a reception Linda 12 months later we were burgled and the rings were taken

I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT LINDA IT SOUNDS LOVELY RENEWING UR WEDDING VOWS ALTHOUGH I HAVENT THOUGHT ABOUT DOING IT ANNE

Whenever we attend a wedding my husband and I hold hands and at the point of the service when the vows are taken we too renew our own,just privately together.--Rose I am so sorry about the loss of the rings.

MY WIFE AND I ARE GOING TO RENEW OUR VOWS THIS AUGUST ON HOLIDAY IN MEXICO, WE BOOKED THE CHAPEL AND THE PADRE LAST YEAR. WE HAVE GONE ON HOLIDAY THERE FOR 5 YEARS AND WATCHED THE SMALL CHAPEL BEING BUILT FROM NOTHING BY DONATOINS FROM THE TOURISTS AND IT WAS LOVELY WHEN IT WAS ONLY AN ALTER SURROUNDED BY FLOWER GARDENS.ITS ALMOST COMPLETE NOW AND ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I AM NOT A RELIGOUS PERSON BUT IT SEEMS LIKE A LOVELY PLACE TO RE AFFIRM MY LOVE FOR MY WIFE AFTER 25 YEARS TOGETHER. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES WHEN I COME BACK. JOHN SYME

how wierd Lisa me and hubby had also thought of doing ours for our 15th,also in 2 yrs. i'd love to do it and have my girls as bridesmaids as they'll probably never get chance otherwise

I am glad you started this thread my hubby and i mentioned doing this for our '10th' but i felt it would be too ostentacious, he told me i was being silly. we were married first time round in a Registry office and i have always wanted to do it in church, you know the dress,flowers the whole nine yards. you have got me thinking again!!! thanks for all the replys.so sorry to hear this has happened to you linda.people like that are heartless and do not know the grief they cause.they haven't any feelings towards others.after hearing about your experiences i am going to do this but in secret and suprise my hubby in two years time.well i am hoping it will be a nice suprise and that he will marry me all over again!love and hugsxxxxx(:

All of you that are thinking about it I can only say do it It is a special memory that will live with me and hubby forever. I even had cars with ribbons on. My sons were so proud Linda PS Forgot to say 1 year after my rings were stolen we went and bought new rings and went back to the church and had them blessed also my rings were stolen 4 days after my Dad died sorry about the mess up still hurts when I think about it it was heart renching
